EXPLORATORY WEEKS

Welcome to CWC LA Regional Exploratory Weeks basecamp,
where every workshop is a chance for an adventure!

Exploratory Weeks will take place during asynchronous time (after 10 am) from Tuesday, April 6 – Friday, April 16.

Our diverse specials program is part of what makes CWC so unique and special, and we are celebrating our amazing teachers and the ways that the arts can enrich our human experience. These weeks have given us the opportunity to expand our offerings beyond this to include a broader and more diverse offering of topics.

Throughout the past unique and challenging year, our students have had to adapt and grow in so many ways. As we enter a new chapter as a community, students are once again experiencing huge changes to their lives and routines. In times like these, one of the most powerful tools that humans have is the ability to engage in the arts. For many of us, this past year we’ve found comfort in listening to music, learning a language, baking bread, or creating artwork. Our sessions will highlight ways that our students can find relaxation and grounding through the arts while it feels like their world is being flipped upside down-again! We hope that students will find new activities and ideas that resonate with them that they can lean on when things get overwhelming. These will be lifelong skills that our students can carry with them and continue to lean on as a source of joy.

Students will have the chance to virtually explore new ideas, places, skills, and art from around the world.

TK-5 – APRIL 6-9

TK-8 – APRIL 12-16

During regional Exploratory Weeks, students will choose a Session I workshop at 10:30 am and a Session II workshop at 1:00 pm (TK-5 only) each day and log on via Zoom. All workshops are led by our incredible specials teachers across the region, so you never know who you may see in class!
