Welcome To
CWC West Valley
CWC West Valley is a purposefully diverse school located in the heart of the West Valley. Since opening our doors in 2020, we have expanded both our program and campus to meet the needs of our growing community. Today, we proudly serve students in grades TK–7 and are on track to offer a full TK–8 program by the 2027–2028 school year.
Our expanded campus allows us to continue growing while providing students with a holistic education filled with joy, project-based learning, rigorous academics, the arts, athletics, and more. Our program is particularly strong in fostering social-emotional development across lines of difference. Through intentional community-building and collaborative learning experiences, students develop the skills to communicate, collaborate, and lead with empathy. By the time they complete eighth grade at CWC West Valley, students are well-prepared to thrive in high school and beyond.

Jennifer Mansfield
Read my bio
Jennifer Mansfield is a public school leader with more than 25 years of experience in education. She has spent over a decade with Citizens of the World Los Angeles and is the Founding Principal of CWC West Valley, which opened in August 2020.
Since opening CWC West Valley, Jennifer has led the work of building a school community from the ground up. Her leadership is grounded in strong academics, belonging, adult development, and trust with families. She believes strong schools are built through high expectations, clear systems, strong relationships, and a deep commitment to students and staff.
Before becoming principal, Jennifer served as an elementary teacher, intervention coordinator, instructional coach, and assistant principal in Los Angeles public schools. These roles shaped how she leads today. She understands the work of schools at every level — from classroom instruction and coaching teachers to building strong teams, partnering with families, and creating the systems that help a school run well. She brings a teacher’s eye, a coach’s belief in growth, and a principal’s responsibility for making sure students, staff, and families feel connected, challenged, and supported.
Jennifer holds a bachelor’s degree in International Business from American University and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from UCLA.
