Transitional Kinder (TK)
CWC’s whole-child approach supports and nurtures all areas of children’s development and learning. From social-emotional and cognitive skills to academic content understanding to physical well-being, this holistic approach is a powerful strategy as children transition from a home or preschool environment to our TK program and begin their elementary school journey.

Orientation + First Day
1. Apply
Prospective families can begin to submit an application for a CWC school of their choice during the open enrollment period. If the number of applications submitted during the Open Enrollment period exceeds the number of seats available they will be sorted into a Lottery, these usually run in February/March. Applications submitted after this period will still be considered, but are placed on the waitlist until seats become available. A student can submit applications to multiple CWC schools.
Visit our school websites to find more information about open enrollment and application deadlines.
2. Lottery
A random public lottery is held if the number of applications a school receives by the lottery application deadline exceeds the seats available.
Submitting an application does not guarantee enrollment. Attendance at the lottery drawing is optional and will not impact results. All families will be notified via the CWC Los Angeles enrollment system and receive an email of lottery results, including if their application is accepted or placed on the waitlist. Visit our CWC school websites for lottery dates and more information about our individual school lotteries.
3. Enroll
Families who receive an offer:
If offered a seat, you will be asked to accept your offer and complete a registration (enrollment) packet for your child’s school.
Families who are waitlisted:
We will keep you updated as accepted families enroll. Spaces that become available will be offered to the next family on the waiting list until the class is full.
Students extended an offer for enrollment will need to provide supporting documentation in the enrollment packet to accept the enrollment offer. A verification of this documentation will be done prior to finalizing enrollment.
4. Orientation
