CWC Middle Schools – Grades 6-8
The CWC Middle School model creates an intimate, rigorous, child-centered program tailored to the needs of adolescents. Staff professional development, parent/caregiver workshops and student programming are all grounded in brain science and developmentally appropriate content and experiences for this specific age group.
When our 8th graders graduate and enter high school, they’re comfortable in their own skin, and, thanks to our strong educational program, have the tools they need to not only thrive academically, but serve those around them as empathetic citizens of the world. Scroll down to see where our 8th graders get accepted to high school!
CWC currently operates middle school grades at 2 schools:
CWC Silver Lake (TK-8)
CWC Mar Vista (TK-8)

CORE PILLARS OF OUR LEARNING MODEL
CORE ACADEMICS
We develop learners who possess deep critical thinking and cognitive skills through implementing project-based learning and training staff to teach in nurturing environments. CWC students outperform their peers in English Language Arts and math across both the State of CA and local school district, LAUSD.
SOCIAL EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT
We develop learners who possess strong empathy, self-efficacy and collaboration skills by integrating mindfulness and self regulation building activities to support the whole child.
Our instructional staff follows a Social Emotional Learning (SEL) scope and sequence with grade-level specific monthly themes aligned with our graduate dispositions and core values.
DIVERSITY & INCLUSION
We prepare our students to thrive in our diverse society and in a global economy, all while respecting and celebrating our differences.
